Industry bounces back as lumber prices spike sharply

Trans-Pacific Trading was honoured to have celebrated its 50th Anniversary in September of 2005. The Company remains focused and committed to customer service which we believe is the essential foundation of a successful lumber trading and manufacturing company. Good service is measured by our ability to procure different species, grades and sizes of softwood lumber, ship on time, supply goods as ordered, and provide timely information throughout the transaction.

Over the past decade, Trans-Pacific Trading has been focusing its efforts on expanding both its supply and customer bases around the world. The Company's philosophy has always been to embrace change and to continually look for new opportunities. Our forest industry continues to face competition from around the world however Trans-Pacific Trading prides itself in meeting this ever changing environment with conviction and determination.

Trans-Pacific Trading has demonstrated its commitment to its market in Japan, by opening its first office in Tokyo in August of 2005. This office allows Trans-Pacific Trading to continue servicing its long-established customers from the Richmond office while developing new niche markets through its Japan office.
