TRAPA Matting Division

Launched in 2014, TRAPA’s Matting division provides essential ground protection and access solutions for the natural resources sector, including mining, oil and gas, utilities, and infrastructure. Our engineered mats are built to perform in some of the most demanding field conditions, in Northern Canada winters to sensitive pipeline corridors.

These are not off-the-shelf products. Each mat is designed for load dispersion, ground stability, worker safety, and environmental protection. Whether stabilizing a crane pad or crossing spring break-up terrain, we help assess site conditions, plan inventory, and coordinate timely delivery.

Our vertically integrated program covers procurement, fabrication oversight, logistics, and field support. We coordinate just-in-time delivery from our facility in Acheson, Alberta, and work directly with clients to mobilize quickly and efficiently.

Over the past decade, our Matting division has experienced steady growth, expanding to include mat builds, rentals, and other service solutions. We are working alongside government entities on major projects such as the Trans Mountain Pipeline.
