Our Culture
Diversity
Diversity is a key strength of our TRAPA team. We celebrate different cultures in respect of our team through company events, such as our Lunar New Year Celebration and Annual Santa Potluck Brunch, fostering inclusivity and appreciation for our team’s diverse backgrounds. While forestry has traditionally been a male-dominated industry, over 50% of TRAPA’s staff are female. We proudly support organizations that empower women in forestry, including Women of Lumber and Forestry, Oregon Women in Lumber, and others.
Health and Wellness
The well-being of our team is a priority. To promote outdoor activity and a healthy lifestyle, TRAPA established the TRAPA Outdoor Club, encouraging our team members, along with their friends and families, to stay active together. Activities include hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, and more. We also promote healthy habits and wellness tips through our internal newsletter.

Tuition and Training
Each year, TRAPA provides scholarships to students in the Faculty of Forestry at a local university, supporting education and innovation in forestry. Additionally, TRAPA invests in our own team by offering education and training programs designed to enhance career development, foster innovation, and increase job satisfaction.
Community Impact – Charities
TRAPA is committed to making a positive impact.
TRAPA is a supporter of Covenant House Vancouver and Union Gospel Mission, two nonprofit organizations whose missions align with our values. Both organizations provide food, shelter, recovery programs, and essential support services to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Our dedicated team actively volunteers and contribute to these causes throughout the year to give back to our local community. Since 2021, we have fundraised and donated over $100,000 in total.
Some key initiatives we participate in annually include the Sleep Out, Backpack Campaign, and Caring Calendar for Covenant House, as well as Gifts of Hope for Union Gospel Mission.
